This is How you can Treat Gingivitis at Home Naturally!



You don’t have to schedule a visit to the dentist in order to get rid of gingivitis. Many of us suffer from gingivitis from time to time. It is a condition that is characterized by inflammation of the gums and is primarily caused by disease-causing bacteria. Early treatment is advised to avoid the development of worse infection signs and symptoms.

The most common symptoms associated with gingivitis are:

  • bleeding around the gums
  • swollen gums
  • receding gums


Here are steps on how to treat gingivitis at home naturally!

1.Salt

This is a simple cure for gingivitis. Create a solution made up of salt and water to gargle after brushing your teeth. Salt has always been known for its antibacterial properties, and its ability to alter the pH level in the mouth. In addition, the salt and water solution reduces the swelling as a result of infection.

What you need:

  • ½ tablespoon of salt
  • I glass lukewarm water or mustard oil


How to:

  • Place the salt in a glass of lukewarm water.
  • Swish the solution around your mouth at least 2 to 3 times daily.
  • Prepare a paste of salt (water and salt) with a few drops of mustard oil.
  • Apply the paste directly on the gums.
  • Let the thick paste sit on your gums for 3 minutes
  • Repeat these steps up to 3 times daily or until the symptoms subside



2.Baking Soda


What you need:

  • ¼ baking soda
  • warm water



How to:
  • Create a paste by combining baking soda with a few drops of warm water
  • Simply eye ball the measurements. Add only a few drops of water enough to create paste like consistently.
  • Put the paste onto your brush and brush your teeth with the solution. Do this once every two days for best results
  • You may also add salt into the paste mixture and swish the solution in your mouth. This should be done in the morning

Safe is known as a powerful remedy for gingivitis mainly due to its anti-inflammatory and cleansing qualities. It’s been a homemade remedy for many ailments for many centuries now.



Simply chop sage leaves or use dried sage instead. Rub the crushed leaves on the infected region of the gums or pack them in the infected area. Leave the leaves for about 3 minutes. Combine sage with sea salt for additional cleaning.

Turmeric

The curcumin content found in turmeric boast powerful anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, turmeric is also popular due to its high antioxidant content and its antimicrobial qualities. This herb deeply cleanses the wound and inspires faster wound healing. Mix turmeric with water and then mash up some fresh turmeric root. Brush the paste onto the teeth and gums using a soft bristle toothbrush.

Oil Pulling

Oil pulling is yet another ancient technique that has been used for hundreds of years to keep the teeth and gums healthy. The principle behind pulling is to cleans the infected regions of the gums through the use of oil.

Simply take a few tablespoons of sesame, coconut, or sunflower oil and swish it around the mouth for a few minutes, focusing on infected gums. Do not swallow the oil, but instead spit it out after the procedure. Immediately follow up with gargling with warm water.
